• 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons sugar, plus more as needed


  1. In a bowl, whisk together all ingredients.
  2. Divide mixture among Chinese ceramic serving spoons, and steam them in a steamer for 10 minutes at low heat.
  3. Sprinkle granulated sugar on top them, and caramelize it with a kitchen torch.
