Won't you look smart when you show up drinking your own delicious homemade boba tea instead of wasting money on the store-bought kind.

Ingredients

  • Tapioca pearls
  • 1 cup chilled coconut water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk
  • Coconut milk to taste
  • Ice

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Slowly add desired amount of tapioca pearls. Bring water back up to a simmer and cook about 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally so pearls don't clump together. Rinse pearls in cold water once cooked.
  2. In a large glass, add tapioca pearls, ice, coconut water, vanilla and sweetened condensed milk. Add coconut milk to taste. Stir and enjoy!

  • 2 to 4 tablespoons Thai tea mix
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
  • Whole milk
  • Ice

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Slowly add desired amount of tapioca pearls. Bring water back up to a simmer and cook about 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally so pearls don't clump together. Rinse pearls in cold water once cooked.
  2. Pour hot water over Thai tea mix and let steep for at least 10 minutes. Allow liquid to cool completely before making drink. Strain tea leaves. Add tapioca pearls, ice, Thai tea mixture and sweetened condensed milk to taste. Stir and enjoy!

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 cup hot water
  • Coconut milk
  • Ice

  2. Pour boiling water over dried hibiscus flowers and sugar; let steep for at least 10 minutes. Allow liquid to completely cool before making drink. Strain flowers. Place tapioca pearls, ice and hibiscus mixture in a tall glass. Add a splash of coconut milk. Stir and enjoy!

  • 1 tablespoon torn mint leaves
  • Coconut water (optional)
  • Ice

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Slowly add desired amount of tapioca pearls. Bring water back up to a simmer and cook about 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally so pearls don't clump together. Rinse pearls in cold water once cooked.
  2. In a food processor, pulse honeydew until completely blended. Using a fine mesh strainer with a bowl underneath, strain the pulp from the honeydew mixture. (It should yield about 2 cups honeydew juice.) Tear mint leaves and add to the bottom of a glass. Add tapioca pearls, ice, honeydew mixture and a splash of coconut water. Stir and enjoy!
