Cloved Apple Wedges

  • 3 red apples
  • A handful of whole cloves
  • A slice of lemon

Hot Apple Cider Punch

  • 23 fl oz Bushmills Original
  • 11 fl oz maple syrup
  • 1/2 fl oz angostura bitters (optional)
  • 78 oz fl cider, preferably something sweet and full bodied
  • Cloved apple wedges for each glass

Steps

Cloved Apple Wedges

  1. Starting from the base of the apple, slice the apple into disks. Remove the seeds, cut each disk into three wedges and cut a notch into each wedge so that the wedge sits nicely on the edge of a glass. Wipe the apple pieces with the slice of lemon them from going brown and spike the peel with two cloves.

Hot Apple Cider Punch

  1. Add the Bushmills Original, maple syrup, angostura bitters and cider to a pan. Heat on a very low heat for five to eight minutes until warm. The liquid should be hot but not boiling. Ensure your service bowl is at room temperature, add the hot liquid to the bowl and serve immediately with the apple wedges.
