Cancer Fighting Foods

  • 1 grapefruit, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tangerine, peeled and sliced
  • 1 mandarine, peeled and divided into wedges
  • Red pepper flakes, optional
  • Green onion, white parts only, sliced
  • 1/2 avocado, diced
  • Mint leaves, as preferred
  • Honey lime vinaigrette, as preferred
  • For the honey lime vinaigrette:
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of pepper
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil


  1. Prepare the dressing.
  2. Whisk all ingredients together in a bowl and set aside.
  3. Make the salad.
  4. Layer citrus and top with red pepper flakes, onion, avocado and mint leaves. Drizzle with honey lime vinaigrette and enjoy!
