Cheese Stuffed Fondue Bread

Bread is best when it's stuffed with cheese.

Ingredients

  • 250g cream cheese
  • 3 slices bacon
  • 100g shredded cheese
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • Dough Topping:
  • 50g glutinous rice flour
  • 2 tsp bread flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 60ml water
  • ½ tsp vegetable oil
  • Bread Dough:
  • 250g bread flour
  • 5g dry yeast
  • 25g sugar
  • 5g salt
  • 175mg milk
  • 25g butter
  • Advance Preparation:
  • Mix all the ingredients together for the Bread Dough and knead. Let the dough rise for 30 minutes in an oven heated to 40°C.

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine together cream cheese, bacon, shredded cheese and black pepper.
  2. Take 1/6 of the bread dough and roll it out to the size of your palm. Place ⅙ of the filling from step 1 in the center and then wrap the dough around it to form a bread roll. Repeat for remaining dough and make 5 more bread rolls.
  3. Arrange the bread rolls on a baking sheet and let it rise for the second time for 30 minutes in an oven heated to 40°C.
  4. In a bowl, mix together the ingredients for the Dough Topping and let it rise for 20 minutes in an oven heated at 40°C.
  5. Using a spoon, apply the Dough Topping on top of each bread roll.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes in an oven heated at 220°C. Serve while it’s hot.
