- 1 pound (or 3 cups) cherry or grape tomatoes
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Immediately lower to a simmer and cook for 35 minutes, until tomatoes have completely burst and a thick jam is formed.
- Strain through the holes of a colander, pushing the mixture through the holes with the back of a spoon. Discard the peels that remain in the colander.
- Return mixture to saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes, until completely thick and has a jam-like consistency. Let cool and store in a canning jar.
