Chicken Meatballs Supreme

These chicken meatballs are the perfect appetizer to share with friends.


  • 3 1/2 ounces chopped ham
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 1/2 ounces ricotta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped into small cubes
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 cup chopped bacon
  • 10 1/2 ounces ground chicken
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • 1 slice of dry bread, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • For coating:
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, whisked
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • To assemble:
  • 2 1/2 cups Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan
  • Chopped parsley, to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a bowl, mix the ham, shredded cheese and ricotta. Set aside.
  3. In a skillet, saute the onion, garlic and bacon in olive oil until golden. Set aside.
  4. Place the chicken in a bowl and season with salt and black pepper. Add the crumbled bread, breadcrumbs and the onion mixture. Stir to combine.
  5. Scoop up a handful of mixture and press in the middle to form a small space. Fill with a spoonful of the ham and cheese mixture, and form a ball. Dip balls in flour, beaten eggs, then breadcrumbs. Fry in hot oil until golden. Drain on paper towels and set aside to cool.
  6. Place the Alfredo sauce and meatballs in a baking dish, and sprinkle with cheese.
  7. Bake for approximately 15 minutes, or until the cheese is au gratin.
  8. Finish with chopped parsley.
