Puff some holiday spirit with these light, crispy cigars are filled with a delicious peppermint cream cheese filling.

Ingredients

Batter

  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • red and green food coloring

Filling

  • 125g cream cheese, room temperature
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 ¼ cups confectioner’s sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • Christmas sprinkles

Steps

Batter

  1. Beat the eggs and sugar with an electric mixer until frothy.
  2. Add the butter, milk and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add to the batter and mix until combined.
  4. Divide the batter into 2 bowls and dye them red and green.
  5. Pour into containers with easy pour spouts.
  6. Swirl both colors of batter onto a waffle cone maker and cook for one minute.
  7. Roll it into a cigar shape and hold with tongs until stiffened, about 1 minute. Repeat with the remaining batter.

Filling

  1. Beat the cream cheese and butter with an electric mixer until pale and fluffy.
  2. Add the vanilla extract, peppermint extract and confectioner’s sugar and beat until combined.
  3. Place in a piping bag fitted with a round piping tip.
  4. Pipe the filling into the cigar and sprinkle Christmas sprinkles on the ends. Enjoy!
