Cocktail Chicken Wings 3 Ways

Don't leave your chicken wings out of cocktail hour—make these Bloody Mary, mojito and old-fashioned varieties.

Ingredients

  • For Wings:
  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Bloody Mary Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup Tomato juice
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire
  • 1 teaspoon Horseradish
  • 1 shot Vodka
  • Hot sauce to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Celery salt to taste
  • Salt and pepper
  • Mojito Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons agave nectar
  • 1 shot rum
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped mint to taste
  • Old Fashioned Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup cherry juice
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • Dash of bitters
  • Salt and pepper
  • Orange zest to taste

Steps

  1. For Wings:
  2. Preheat oven to 425°F. Prepare a parchment-lined baking tray with a baking rack on top.
  3. Use paper towel to thoroughly pat dry the chickens wings. In a bowl, mix baking powder, salt, and pepper. Add chicken wings and fully coat with the mixture.
  4. Place wings across the baking rack, without overlapping. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven, flip over the wings, and bake again for another 30 minutes, or until fully cooked and golden.
  5. Bloody Mary Sauce:
  6. In a pan, combine all ingredients except celery salt. Stir and reduce on medium heat until thickened. Toss with wings. Top with celery salt.
  7. Mojito Sauce:
  8. In a pan, combine all ingredients except mint. Reduce on medium heat until thickened. Toss with wings. Top with mint and lime wedges.
  9. Old Fashioned Sauce:
  10. In a pan, combine all ingredients except orange zest. Reduce on medium heat until thickened. Toss with wings. Top with orange zest.
