- Hi guys. To celebrate National French Fry Day I'm making Cool Ranch Dorito-style French Fries. So to get started making the Cool Ranch fries I'm gonna bake these fries first, according to the French Fry package instructions. Normally it's at about 400 degrees. Flatten 'em out, make sure that they spread and bake evenly. I'm now gonna pop these into the oven for about 12 minutes. So I just took my fries outta the oven, and now I'm gonna make the Cool Ranch coating. In this bowl I'm gonna combine some lime juice, and then I'm gonna add in some fresh dill, and nutritional yeast, and then I have some garlic powder, and then corn meal. Now I'm gonna add in this onion powder. And then I'm gonna do about two teaspoons of salt. And then you can always add more in later if you think that it's not salty enough. And then some fresh black pepper. And then olive oil. And this is about three to four tablespoons of olive oil. Now I'm gonna transfer the French Fries to this bowl so I can coat them evenly in the Cool Ranch seasoning. Gonna scoop this onto the fries. And then you can use your hands. I like to use my hands for this just so I make sure that the fries are all coated. And I'm also gonna add in a little more olive oil, just to make sure that this Cool Ranch seasoning really spreads out nicely. My God, smells so good! I'm a little hungry so now I'm just going full force with these French Fries. Smells so good! I thing they're pretty well coated now so I'm gonna transfer them to the pan and then bake them. And then once again just make sure that you spread them out so they bake evenly. Awesome! So now I'm gonna pop these in the oven again for about three minutes, or until they're nice and crispy. So now that these are all coated and cooked in the Cool Ranch seasoning, they're ready to serve. The best part is that you don't need any Ranch, or dipping sauce, because they're just fully coated in it already. So now I'm gonna be brave, take some hot fries and try them for breakfast. Mm! So good, they're like way more substantial than the normal chips.
