Cube Sushi

In the mood for homemade sushi in a hurry? This ice tray hack with change your life!


  • 4 tuna sashimi
  • 3 boiled shrimp
  • 4 salmon sashimi
  • 3 squid sashimi
  • Cucumber
  • 1 cup sushi rice, cooked
  • To garnish:
  • Salted salmon roe
  • Kinshi eggs
  • Seasoned nori
  • Shiso
  • Dill
  • Cream cheese
  • Mayonnaise
  • Wasabi
  • White sesame seeds
  • Black sesame seeds
  • Soy sauce


  1. Line an ice cube tray with plastic wrap. Add a layer of the various fish and cucumber in each opening as desired. Spread rice on top of fish. Place tray in refrigerator for 10 minutes to set. Flip tray onto a cutting board and remove plastic wrap. Garnish with desired toppings, and serve with soy sauce.
