What's better than a bouquet of roses? How about: a bunch of sweet, delicious rose-colored chocolate cupcakes.

Cupcake Bouquet


  • 8 eggs

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar

  • 1 1/2 cups butter

  • 3 1/2 cups dark chocolate, chopped

  • 3 3/4 cups flour

  • 4 dashes of salt

  • 4 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1 2/3 cups mascarpone

  • 2 cups heavy cream (whole)

  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

  • Pink food coloring

  • Red food coloring

  • Decorations:

  • Toothpicks

  • Ball of green foam

  • Green leaves

  • Flowerpot


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. In a medium bowl, beat eggs and sugar together. Add butter and melted chocolate, followed by flour, salt and baking powder.

  3. Pour into cupcake wrappers and bake for 20 minutes.

  4. Beat the heavy cream and mascarpone together. Slowly add powdered sugar. Separate cream into 2 bowls. Color one bowl pink and the other red. Transfer into piping bags.

  5. Once cupcakes have cooled, flip them over and insert a toothpick into each. Press the cupcakes into the ball of foam.

  6. Pipe frosting on the cupcakes, alternating between pink and red. Add some green leaves for decoration.
