Father's Day Recipes

We know what Dad really wants for Father's Day — bacon, bacon and more bacon, of course!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound bacon

Steps

  1. Roll each slice of bacon into a rose shape, positioning the white, more fatty sides at the bottom of the roses. Secure each rose with 2 toothpicks, making an X shape.
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil and top with a wire rack. Bake at 350F for 25-30 minutes.
  3. In the meantime, wrap the bamboo skewers in the green florist's tape. Attach the leaves by wining the wires tightly around the skewers, positioning the pointy end of the skewer at the top.
  4. Once the bacon roses have finished cooking, allow to almost completely cool. Remove the toothpicks and stick the roses onto the skewers.
  5. Enjoy them as individual roses, or tie together to create a bacon bouquet!

Ingredients

Cinnamon Bacon Puff Pastry Twists

  • All-purpose flour
  • 2 sheets puff pastry, defrosted
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 pounds bacon

Glaze

  • 2 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 1/4 cups confectioner's sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps

Cinnamon Bacon Puff Pastry Twists

  1. Unroll 1 puff pastry sheet onto a floured surface and spread butter over the entire surface.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the puff pastry. Place the remaining sheet of puff pastry on top, then seal both layers together with a rolling pin.
  3. Slice the puff pastry in half lengthwise, creating 2 long strips. Slice each strip into 24 vertical slices.
  4. Place a strip on bacon onto each slice and twist the ends, twirling the bacon and puff pastry together.
  5. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 400F for 35-45 minutes, until the bacon is fully cooked and the puff pastry has browned.
  6. Once the twists are finished baking, cool them on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then dip into the glaze and enjoy!

Glaze

  1. Place the cream cheese and butter in a bowl and whisk until well combined. Add the confectioner's sugar and beat until combined. Add the milk and vanilla extra and fully combine.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound bacon
  • 1 package crescent rolls
  • Cooking spray
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

Steps

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet until cooked, but still pale in color. The bacon will continue to cook in the oven, so don't cook it until crispy - it will crisp up later! Transfer to a plate lined with paper towel and drain the excess fat. Cool, tear into pieces and set side.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and grease with cooking spray.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto the baking sheet and pinch any seams together with your fingers. If necessary, stretch the dough to cover the entire baking sheet.
  4. Drizzle half of the maple syrup onto the dough and sprinkle with 1/4 cup of the brown sugar. Top with the bacon, then drizzle the remaining maple syrup and brown sugar on top.
  5. Bake at 325F for 25 minutes, or until bubbling and caramelized. Cool to room temperature, then slice into pieces. Enjoy!
