Cinnamon Bacon Puff Pastry Twists
- All-purpose flour
- 2 sheets puff pastry, defrosted
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 pounds bacon
Glaze
- 2 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 1/4 cups confectioner's sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Steps
Cinnamon Bacon Puff Pastry Twists
- Unroll 1 puff pastry sheet onto a floured surface and spread butter over the entire surface.
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the puff pastry. Place the remaining sheet of puff pastry on top, then seal both layers together with a rolling pin.
- Slice the puff pastry in half lengthwise, creating 2 long strips. Slice each strip into 24 vertical slices.
- Place a strip on bacon onto each slice and twist the ends, twirling the bacon and puff pastry together.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 400F for 35-45 minutes, until the bacon is fully cooked and the puff pastry has browned.
- Once the twists are finished baking, cool them on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then dip into the glaze and enjoy!
Glaze
- Place the cream cheese and butter in a bowl and whisk until well combined. Add the confectioner's sugar and beat until combined. Add the milk and vanilla extra and fully combine.
