Carbonated Fizzy Fruit

Molecular gastronomy is fun when you put dry ice and fruit together!


  • 2-5 pounds dry ice
  • Assorted fruit (grapes, orange slices, pineapple chunks, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries)
  • Plastic wrap
  • A large cooler


  1. Place dry ice on the bottom of a cooler. Cover with several clean kitchen towels. Place fruit over the towels and close the cooler well.
  2. Wrap every nook and cranny with plastic wrap.
  3. Set aside for 12 hours. Remove fruit and enjoy!
