French Toast Pigs in a Blanket

Your pigs deserve a yummier, more flavorful blanket.


  • 8 breakfast sausages
  • 5 Eggs
  • 3/4 cup of milk
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 4 slices of white bread
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • Icing sugar
  • Maple Syrup


  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausages until they are browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside on a plate.
  2. Whisk eggs, milk, maple syrup, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. Trim each slice of bread into a 2' X 4' rectangle and then flatten using your fingers or a rolling pin.
  3. Starting at one end, roll the bread around a sausage and press to seal. Place in the milk mixture and let sit for 5 minutes. Repeat with remaining sausages.
  4. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a non stick skillet. Place 6 sausages in the pan at a time and cook until browned on each side, flipping often. Repeat with second batch of sausages and then serve with a sprinkle of icing sugar and maple syrup.
