Fried Cheesecake Bites

Better than beignets, these fried lil' nuggets are stuffed with cheesecake and topped with powdered sugar and strawberry sauce.


  • 1 leftover cheesecake, cut into 1-inch squares
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • Pinch sea salt
  • 6 cups vegetable oil, for frying
  • For the strawberry syrup:
  • 2 cups diced strawberries
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • Juice of 1 lemon


  1. Heat the oil to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, milk and sea salt. Dip cheesecake chunks in the batter and fry in the oil. Drain on paper towels.
  3. In a small saucepan, heat strawberries, water, honey and lemon juice to a simmer until thickened.
  4. Serve cheesecake bites warm, drizzled with strawberry sauce.
