Garlic Shrimp Scampi Egg Noodles

Three different cultures and flavor profiles come together in one delicious noodle dish.


  • 6 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 portion dried egg noodles
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 6 pieces of shrimp, cleaned and deveined
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 6 tablespoons of spring onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
  • Coriander, to garnish


  1. Start by boiling some water with a generous pinch of salt.
  2. In a pan, heat up some olive oil on medium heat, fry off your garlic for 2 minutes. Add in the shrimp and sear for 2 minutes on each side.
  3. Add the sugar, chili flakes, white pepper, rice wine, salt, sesame oil, and soy sauce to the pan, stir fry briskly. Quickly shake off the water from the noodles and throw into the wok.
  4. Add in your spring onions and butter, stir fry for a minute.
  5. Garnish the dish with minced coriander and sesame seeds.
