Ingredients

Greek Turkey Protein Burgers

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup sun dried tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 small red onion, diced
  • 1 cup baby spinach, chopped
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta
  • 1/4 cup almond meal
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil

Tzatziki Sauce

  • 1 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp. tahini
  • 1 garlic clove, whole
  • 1 English cucumber, diced
  • 2 tbsp. hemp seed hearts
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk, plus more as needed
  • 1 tbsp. fresh dill
  • 4 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper

Toppings

  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, for buns
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 large tomato, sliced

Steps

Greek Turkey Protein Burgers

  1. To make the patties, combine the ground turkey, sun-dried tomatoes, red onion, spinach, feta, oregano, almond meal, and egg in a medium bowl and mix until fully combined.
  2. Shape into patties using your hands.
  3. Heat olive oil over medium-high heat and cook the patties until cooked through, about 3-5 minutes per side, flipping occasionally.
  4. Cut the iceberg lettuce into buns. Layer sliced tomatoes on the lettuce followed by the patty, the sauce, sliced red onion, and the other lettuce “bun.”

Tzatziki Sauce

  1. To make the Tzatziki sauce, combine all ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth.
