- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 6 quail eggs
- 3 onions
- 2 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 pound ground beef
- Panko breadcrumbs
- In a mixing bowl, combine the 2 eggs, water and flour. Freeze quail eggs until firm, then remove their shells.
- Peel the onions, and cut them into slices approximately 1/2 inch wide. Separate the slices, and put slices of cheddar cheese in between. Place a ball of ground beef in the center of each. Add a quail egg and top with more ground beef. Dip in batter, followed by breadcrumbs.
- Fry in oil heated to 350 degrees until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Garnish with parsley and serve with ketchup.
