Healthy Bubble Tea

Ingredients

  • Uncooked tapioca pearls
  • Honey
  • Mango Bubble Tea:
  • 1 fresh mango, peeled and cut into cubes
  • 1 cup mango juice
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 cup milk
  • Strawberry Vanilla Bubble Tea:
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup vanilla frozen yogurt
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 cup milk
  • Matcha Green Tea Bubble Tea:
  • 1/2 tablespoon matcha green tea powder
  • 1/4 cup warm milk
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1 cup vanilla frozen yogurt
  • 1 cup ice

Steps

  • To cook the tapioca, pour the tapioca into boiling water. Boil, uncovered, for 40 minutes. Remove from the heat, place a lid on the pot and let sit for 20 minutes. Drain and coat lightly in honey.
  • To make the slushie, choose your desired flavour and blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. For the matcha green tea flavour, dissolve the matcha powder in the hot milk, then add this to the blender with the remaining ingredients.
  • Spoon some tapioca into the bottom of a tall glass and top with your smoothie. Add a bubble tea straw and enjoy!
