Stacked high with bacon and a potato-fried egg, this burger is sure to keep you full all morning long.
1 pound ground beef
3 1/4 tablespoon mustard
7 ounces sauerkraut
8 slices bacon
4 boiled potatoes
4 slices Allgäuer mountain cheese
4 pickle slices
Preheat oven to 140°F.
Season the ground beef with salt, pepper and half the mustard. Form into patties the size of the buns. Pan-cook, flipping to cook both sides. Add a slice of cheese to top and keep warm in the oven.
Cut the potatoes into thin slices. Place them in frying pan inside a round cookie cutter or other heat-proof ring. Add an egg on top of potatoes and cook on low heat. Add bacon to sides of pan and cook at same time.
Cut the buns in half and smear with mustard. Add sauerkraut to the bottom half and the pickles on the top half. Place the bacon on the sauerkraut, then top with burger and potato-fried egg.
