Put down the store-bought sandwich spread, and make this easy 5-ingredient mayo instead.
6 egg yolks
2 1/2 tablespoon salt
1/2 lemon, juiced and seeds removed
1 tablespoon white vinegar
3 cups vegetable oil
In a food processor or blender on the lowest setting, begin blending yolks, salt, lemon and vinegar.
Extremely slowly, add the oil into the blender as it's running. As you add the oil, the emulsification process begins and the yolks and oil will turn into a thick, viscous mayo.
