Ice Cream Cone Cakes

So we made ice cream cones filled with cake and frosting instead of real ice cream. Is there any bad here? Nope.


  • 1 funfetti cake mix batter, prepared according to box directions
  • 24 small or 12 jumbo ice cream cones with flat bottoms
  • 1 can vanilla frosting
  • Food coloring (pink/purple/blue/red/green)
  • Sprinkles
  • Cherries


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Prepare the cake mix batter according to the instructions on the box.
  3. Place one cone in each opening of a cupcake pan. (If they don’t stand on their own, surround with foil for support.)
  4. Fill each cone about three-fourths full with batter. Bake for 25 minutes.
  5. Top cupcakes with frosting of all colors, sprinkles, and a cherry on top.
