Asian-Style Peanut Top Ramen

Don't just use the packet. Class up your ramen with peanut butter, chili sauce, chicken and more.


  • 1 package chicken-flavored instant ramen
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon chopped lemongrass or ginger
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sambal
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Leftover chicken
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • Carrot and cucumber strips
  • Cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds


  1. Bring water to boil and cook ramen for 3 minutes.
  2. Drain most of the water, leaving about 2 tablespoons. Add 1/2 soup powder packet, garlic, lemongrass, peanut butter, vinegar, sambal, soy sauce, sugar and chicken. Mix well.
  3. Add cilantro, green onions, carrot and cucumber strips, and give a toss. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
