Ingredients
Japanese Beer-Battered Frito Misto
- 4 half fillets sea bream
- 2 shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 bulb spring onions, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 myoga (Japanese ginger), cut in half
- 2 broccoli raab, cut off tough stems and cut into 10 centimeters length
- 2 fukinoto (butterbur sprouts), cut off tough base
- 2 pieces bamboo shoots
- Lemon
Batter
- 70-80 milliliters beer
- 50 grams flour
- 1 tablespoon potato starch
- Pinch of salt
- 1 egg yolk
Seasonings
- Sansho (Japanese pepper)
- 1 teaspoon salt
Steps
Japanese Beer-Battered Frito Misto
- Season the sea bream fillets with salt. Prepare the rest of your ingredients.
- Combine the sansho and salt and set aside.
- Mix together ingredients for the batter and mix well.
- Quickly dip ingredients into the batter and deep-fry at 180 degrees C until crispy.
- Enjoy with sansho and salt mixture.
