Julie's Perfect Meal

From cranberry sauce and Brussels sprouts to sweet potatoes and stuffing, here are Julie's favorites.


  • Cranberry Sauce
  • 1 package cranberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 grape juice box, or 1 cup grape juice
  • Balsamic Brussel Sprouts
  • 20 Brussel Sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 3 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 3 tablespoons Balsamic vinegar
  • Maple Sweet Potatoes
  • 4 sweet potatoes, roasted and mashed
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • Salt
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • Cauliflower and Cheese Sauce
  • 1 cauliflower head, cut into florets and roasted
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups of milk
  • 1 1/2 cups of sharp cheddar
  • Sauerkraut Stuffing
  • 8 Slices of Bacon
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 large jar sauerkraut
  • 1 loaf of bread, cubed


  1. Cranberry Sauce: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat until berries are broken down and mixture thickens, 15-20 minutes.
  2. Balsamic Brussel Sprouts: Combine all ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Place in a roasting dish and bake at 400 for 35 minutes or until the leaves get crispy.
  3. Maple Sweet Potatoes: Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mash together.
  4. Cauliflower and Cheese Sauce: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and stir in the flour to create a paste. Cook for 1 minute. Whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture has thickened and there are no clumps. Turn off the heat and add in the cheese stirring it as it melts. Pour over the cauliflower and serve.
  5. Sauerkraut Stuffing: Cook bacon in a saucepan just before it gets crispy. Remove from heat and let drain on a paper towel. In the bacon grease sauce the onion and add the sauerkraut. Cook for 5 minutes. In a large bowl at the bread cubes, sauerkraut mixture and bacon and let cool slightly. Once at a comfortable temperature mix the stuffing with your hands squeezing the bread to incorporate it. Pour into a baking dish and bake at 400 for 20-30 minutes or until crispy on top.
