Kalorik Air Fryer

Say goodbye to excess oil and grease! Now you can have all the flavor … without the guilt. Want it? Click here: https://taste.md/2JhmriU

Ingredients

  • 1 (4oz) frozen (80/20) all-beef burger patty, defrosted
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, or seasoning salt
  • 1 slice sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 hamburger bun, toasted
  • 2 slices tomato
  • 1 leaf butter or green-leaf lettuce
  • 1 slice red onion
  • 4 slices pickles (optional)
  • Ketchup
  • Mayonnaise
  • Thousand Island dressing

Steps

  1. Preheat the Smart Fryer to 360 degrees.
  2. Season both sides of the burger patty with salt and pepper or seasoning salt.
  3. Add the burger patty to the basket and cook for 8 minutes. Turn the burger over and cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. Put the slice of cheese on top and cook for 2 more minutes. The burger will be at medium doneness. (Cook for 2 minutes more for medium-well.)
  5. Remove the burger and assemble as desired.

Ingredients

  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ¾ teaspoon celery seed
  • 3 large eggs, whites only
  • Vegetable oil non-stick cooking spray

Steps

  1. Bring a medium pot of water up to a boil.
  2. To prepare the onion, cut off the stem but leave the root-end in tact. Peel the outer layer of the onion and discard. Placing the onion flat onto a clean work surface, make 12 even cuts starting from ¼-inch below the root all the way downward to your cutting board. Turn the onion over so it’s sitting on its root and gently fan open the layers to resemble a flower.
  3. Place the onion into the boiling water. Cook for 30 seconds. Remove into a bowl of ice water to cool completely.
  4. Preheat the Smart Fryer to 360 degrees F.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder and celery seed. Set aside.
  6. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk the egg whites until frothy.
  7. Remove the onion from the ice bath. Pat dry with paper towels.
  8. Submerge the onion in the egg whites, making sure it’s completely coated. Allow any excess to drain off. Then put the onion in the seasoned flour mixture. Dust the onion, getting in between each layer, with the flour. Shake off any excess flour. Spray the onion all over with the vegetable oil cooking spray. Place into the fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes. Increase the heat to 400 degrees and cook for 3 more minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove and season with salt.
  10. Serve with your desired dipping sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 jalapeno pepper, halved and seeded
  • 2 mini red bell peppers, halved and seeded
  • 1 mini orange red bell pepper, halved and seeded
  • 1/3 cup sharp cheddar Pub Cheese spread
  • 4 slices Applewood smoked bacon, halved lengthwise and trimmed of excess fat
  • 1 teaspoon thinly sliced chives
  • Ranch or buttermilk dressing, for dipping

Steps

  1. Preheat the Smart Fryer to 290 degrees F for 5 minutes.
  2. Spread 1 tablespoon of the pub cheese into the cavity of each pepper. Wrap each cheese-filled pepper with bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place 4 peppers into the basket. Cook for 10 minutes at 290 degrees F. Increase the heat to 330 degrees F and cook for 3 more minutes.
  3. Using tongs, carefully remove the poppers and allow to cool slightly.
  4. Bake the remaining 4 peppers.
  5. Remove the toothpicks. Garnish with chives and serve with dipping sauce.
