Chili Lime Mango Margarita

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe mango, cubed (about 1 cup)
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 small limes, juiced
  • 3 ounces silver tequila
  • 1 ounce triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 1 dash hot sauce, optional
  • 2 tablespoons agave syrup, plus more if desired
  • Lime wheels, for garnish, if desired
  • For the chili salt rim:
  • 1 lime wedge
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse sea salt

Steps

  1. Prepare your margarita glasses. Combine chili powder and sea salt in a small saucer. Rim the outside of your glass(es) with lime, taking care to only wet the outside. Dip rimmed glass(es) upright in chili powder and sea salt mixture and set aside.
  2. Combine all margarita ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. Taste and adjust agave and/or alcohol quantities, if desired.
  3. Add 1 cup of ice to blender, blending again until smooth.
  4. Fill rimmed margarita glasses with margarita mixture. Garnish with a lime wheel, if desired, and enjoy.
