Matcha Water Balloon Jelly

Ingredients

  • 3 water balloons
  • Gold leaf
  • Kuromitsu syrup (black sugar syrup)
  • Dark matcha mix:
  • 1 3/4 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/3 tablespoons matcha tea
  • 2/3 tablespoon milk
  • Light matcha mix:
  • 1 3/4 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2/3 tablespoon matcha tea
  • 1 1/3 tablespoons milk

Steps

  1. In two separate bowls, combine the ingredients for each matcha mixture.
  2. Fill a water balloon pump with one of the mixtures until it is around the size of an egg, then use it to fill up a water balloon to your desired size. Tie the balloons closed and let cool in the refrigerator until the gelatin has solidified.
  3. Use a toothpick to pop the balloons. Place them on a dish and finish by topping with kuromitsu syrup and gold leaf.
