Matcha Zebra Cheesecake

Matcha lovers will love this layered cheesecake made with matcha Oreo crust.


  • 10 matcha Oreo cookies
  • 2 3/4 tablespoon butter, melted
  • Filling
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder
  • Decoration
  • Sweetened whipped cream
  • Gold leaf


  1. Put Oreo cookies in a Ziploc bag and crush until they resemble coarse sand.
  2. Add butter and mix to combine. Press into cake pan and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. In a blender, combine ingredients for the filling (except matcha powder) and blend until smooth.
  4. Divide filling mixture into two separate bowls. Add matcha powder to one bowl and mix to incorporate.
  5. Pour the two mixtures into the cake pan one ladle at a time, alternating between each batch to create a zebra pattern.
  6. Create a water bath and bake for 60 minutes at 325°F.
  7. Remove from oven and set aside to cool. Place in refrigerator to chill overnight.
  8. Decorate with whipped cream and gold leaf and serve.
