Kick your meatballs up a notch with mustard sauce instead of marinara.
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon garlic powder
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
3 tablespoons parsley, chopped
1/4 cup bread flour
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons wheat flour
1 1/2 cups fresh heavy cream
2 tablespoons brown mustard
1 1/3 cups grated mozzarella cheese
In a bowl, mix the ground beef, onion, garlic powder, salt and pepper, 2 tablespoons of parsley, bread flour and egg. Form mixture into balls, and brown the outsides in a pan. Remove and set aside.
Using the same pan, melt the butter, then add the wheat flour, stirring continuously.
Next, add the fresh cream, stirring continuously, then add the brown mustard.
Add the meatballs to the sauce, cook for 2 minutes, then place in an ovenproof dish.
Cover with mozzarella cheese and bake for 10 minutes at 390°F degrees.
Garnish with parsley and serve with pasta or rice.
