Meatballs With Mustard Sauce
Kick your meatballs up a notch with mustard sauce instead of marinara.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup bread flour
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons wheat flour
- 1 1/2 cups fresh heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons brown mustard
- 1 1/3 cups grated mozzarella cheese
Steps
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef, onion, garlic powder, salt and pepper, 2 tablespoons of parsley, bread flour and egg. Form mixture into balls, and brown the outsides in a pan. Remove and set aside.
- Using the same pan, melt the butter, then add the wheat flour, stirring continuously.
- Next, add the fresh cream, stirring continuously, then add the brown mustard.
- Add the meatballs to the sauce, cook for 2 minutes, then place in an ovenproof dish.
- Cover with mozzarella cheese and bake for 10 minutes at 390°F degrees.
- Garnish with parsley and serve with pasta or rice.
