Mexican Creamsicle in an Ice Cream Dish

Frozen strawberry purée and sweet condensed milk are the foundation for a tasty creamsicle.


  • 2 1/4 pounds strawberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 lime
  • 2 cans sweetened condensed milk


  1. In a blender, blend the strawberries, sugar and juice from the lime.
  2. Pour half of the mixture into a baking dish and place it in the freezer for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
  3. Remove from freezer and pour a layer of condensed milk overtop the strawberries.
  4. Return to the freezer for 2 hours, or until firm.
  5. Remove from freezer and top with the remainder of the strawberry mixture.
  6. Place in the freezer for at least 4 hours before serving.
