It's opposite day, and Julie is testing whether or not it's a good idea to build a pizza in an opposite fashion.

Opposite Pizza


  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

  • Pepperoni

  • Tomato Sauce

  • Pizza Dough Balls


  1. Preheat oven to 350˚F. On a baking sheet covered in parchment, layer down the cheese in a circle, top with pepperoni and bake for 4-6 minutes until crust is formed. Cheese should be melted.

  2. Remove from oven and top with pizza sauce, and tiny dough balls. Return to oven and cook until dough is browned. Cut into slices and then let cool until cheese is crisp.

- All right, I've got an idea. It's crazy. It's stupid. I don't know. Or it's genius! Let's try it out. It's Opposite Day and I'm gonna make opposite pizza. What's that you might ask? Watch the in' video. That's why I'm making it. All right, I know this might be dumb but I just wanna see if we can do it. Because internet is all about the views. So on my baking sheet of parchment paper I'm gonna try and build a pizza in opposite fashion. So the first thing that gonna go down, please God let this work, is the cheese, 'cause I've had a mozzarella crisp before and I know that that's a thing that can happen. So I'm gonna see if I can make a crispy, cheesy crust. So I've got a bunch of mozzarella here, and I'm gonna just make it a circle. Yep! And then I'm gonna put my pepperoni on now I think 'cause I want the pepperoni to be baked into the crust. Mm-hm! So let's just layer that on. And I've got my oven preheating at 350 'cause I saw that that is a good temperature for mozzarella crisps. And this is gonna go in until it's golden and crispy. Okay, wish me luck. See you soon. All right so I pulled it out after five minutes, sorry. That's what he said. I don't know what's gotten into me today. But I stopped cooking it 'cause I realized I'm gonna have to cook it with my little dough toppings on it anyways. So it's melted and bubbly and the edges are starting to get golden but I wanna add my toppings on now. So I've got some tomato sauce, some marinara, which is just gonna go directly on top of my cheese crust. And for the toppings, get this, I made homemade pizza dough. And I think what I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna break off a little bit like that and maybe roll it, and then flatten it like a pepperoni. And what if I put it just on. That'll be great! This is gonna work out so well. She said, unconvinced. So you're tossin' the littlest pizza in the world. What is this, a pizza for ants? Cool, so I'm gonna put this back in the oven at 350. I'm gonna hope that the cheese finishes getting crispy and that the dough ball cooks. Wish me luck. Okay so I've taken it out of the oven because it's getting pretty dark around the edges. But I think this is gonna work. So while it's still bubbly and malleable like this, I'm gonna score it, 'cause I think the edges are really gonna harden up once it cools, so I wanna give myself an easier time. It smells exactly like pizza, which it should, but it also looks just like pizza, so I'm pretty stoked to eat it. Anyway, I'm gonna leave it to cool. Hopefully the cheese will solidify somewhat, maybe even crisp up and we can try a slice. All right, the time has come. I let it cool, almost completely, because the cheese in the center was just not, had zero structural integrity. So bon appetite, bitches. The texture of the cheese really throws you off. It's got all the right flavors, so everything in your head says, "Pizza!", and then you're just chewing on a rubber donut. Let's be honest. I'm gonna eat this whole thing. Is it my favorite way to eat pizza? No, but we wouldn't know that if we didn't attempt it. So I think this is well worth the time, energy and effort. Thank you so much for watching.
