This super simple Oreo recipe is so good, Jen named her dog after it.

Oreo Mud Pie in a Jar

  • 3/4 cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup chocolate pudding

  • 1 1/2 cups cookies 'n' cream ice cream, slightly softened

  1. In a bowl, combine Oreo cookie crumbs and butter.

  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream into stiff peaks. Use a spatula to fold in chocolate pudding.

  3. To assemble: Sprinkle about 2 tablespoons of Oreo crumbs on the bottom of each jar. Gently press some softened ice cream on top of the crumbs, and spread the pudding mixture next. Top with more crumbs and repeat layering one more time, leaving crumbs on the surface. Cover and freeze for at least 30 minutes.

- Today I'm making Oreo Mud Pie in a jar. I named my dog after this recipe, so today I'm making his recipe in honor of him, even though he can't have it, because like, you know, dogs, chocolate. But you can enjoy it. Let's get started with the crust. So I have some Oreo cookies I just crushed up. You con do this in a Ziploc or a processor, and to that I'm going to add melted butter, and that just helps the crumbs kind of form together. Give that a good mix. So easy. I call this recipe stupid simple. Because even if you're stupid, you can make this. Next I'm going to make some whipped cream. I've got some heavy cream here, sure it's in my bowl. Just whip it up. Do this carefully. We're good, we're good, we're good. You just want to make sure it forms stiff. Should I dare increase the speed? No, let's not, let's not go there. All right. Nice and stiff. Now I'm going to mix in some chocolate pudding. Halfway, give it a good fold. That's like my shortcut way of making chocolatey whipped cream. I like these no bake deserts because just like my dog, I'm a lazy ass bitch. That looks good. Now we're ready to assemble. You could do this in a big dish and just cut up slices, but I like it to be real Pinterest and do it in Mason jars. To assemble, your first layer is going to be that Oreo cookie crumble. Spoon some at the bottom of each jar. I'm going to follow it up with even more Oreos in the form of cookie and creams ice cream. Cookie and creams? Cookie and cream. Make sure your ice cream is a little bit softened. That's what makes it easier to add into your jar. Also bonus tip, get a scoop, make this sound, whoop. That didn't work. It's supposed to go in nice and cute. After that you can add the chocolate whipped cream. A little dollop there. A dittle dollop. I should actually use a spoon. And then repeat the process. Another layer of cookie crumble. So if you're wondering, yeah, my dog does look like an Oreo. And he gets really messy, so that's why I call him Mud Pie. Another layer of ice cream. Last bit of chocolate whipped cream. And your final layer of cookies. This just has to chill in the freezer til it kind of sets, and then you're ready to eat. I'm going to pop on the lids. Boom, boom. Off to the freezer. All right, there you have it, Oreo Mud Pie in a jar. I love all these cute little layers. I'm going to take a bite. Yeah, we got a little bit of everything, the cookies, the whipped cream, and that ice cream. Mmmm. I love Oreos. I hope you guys give this a try. I'll see you next time. Remember to just eat life.
