Glaze

  • 2 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon raw honey
  • 3 tablespoon low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Sweet and Sour Pork Chops

  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 thick pork chops
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Sauteed red and green bell peppers, to serve

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine the vinegar, honey, garlic, chicken broth, and crushed red pepper flakes.

Sweet and Sour Pork Chops

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Season the pork chops on both sides with the sea salt and ground black pepper.
  3. Heat an oven-safe skillet over high heat and add olive oil.
  4. Add the pork chops to the hot oil and sear for 2 minutes, until golden brown.
  5. Flip the pork chops over, add the sweet and sour glaze, and transfer to oven for 6-8 minutes, or until no longer pink in the center.
  6. Serve with sauteed red and green bell peppers, if desired.
