Pecan Pie French Toast Bake

Whether you consider this breakfast or dessert, there's no denying it's full of warm, buttery goodness.


  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 loaf of bread, cubed


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar and maple syrup. Remove from heat and cool to room temp.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream and milk. Slowly pour in the butter mix and whisk to combine. Toss in chopped pecans and give it a mix.
  4. In a 9x13 baking pan, place the cubed bread and pour over the egg mix. Let it sit for 20 minutes to absorb.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Serve warm with a drizzle of maple glaze.
