• 2 cups strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 cup natural cane sugar


  1. In a wide saucepan, combine the strawberries, water and sugar.
  2. Cook over low-medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and the strawberries begin to soften and break down, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Transfer to a storage jar and set aside to cool to room temperature. (Keeps for one week when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.)
