Pork Bun Burger

  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 2 pork buns
  • 4 cheese slices
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/4 onion, minced
  • 2 tomato slices (1cm thick)

Meat Sauce

  • 1/4 carrot, minced
  • 1/4 onion, minced
  • 100g ground beef and pork (mixed)
  • 120g canned diced tomato
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp consommé soup granules
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Pork Bun Burger

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and cook pork buns over medium heat until brown on both sides.
  2. Remove the pork buns from the pan and add ground meat (beef and pork), minced onions, and carrots. Sauté until the vegetables soften. Mix in the remaining seasonings and boil down for 5-8 minutes to make the Meat Sauce.
  3. Cut the pork buns in half horizontally through the middle.
  4. On the bottom half of the pork buns, place two slices of cheese and lettuce. Spread mayonnaise and minced onions on top.
  5. Spread a thick layer of the Meat Sauce and a slice of tomato on top. Place the top half of the pork bun and serve.
