Rich Uni Omelette Rice

Only Tastemade Japan could create this ultra uni-rich dish!


  • Uni rice:
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • Uni, to taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vegetable stock
  • 1 teaspoon chopped parsley
  • Omelette:
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • Uni sauce:
  • Uni, to taste
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cream
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 5 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic
  • 1/4 onion


  1. In a mixing bowl, combine uni rice ingredients.
  2. In a saute pan, add the butter, garlic, onion, and flour. Lightly stir-fry it for a few minutes, then add tomato sauce, milk and heavy cream. Cook, while stirring, until mixture thickens, then mix in the uni.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk eggs and milk together.
  4. In a saute pan, add olive oil and butter. Pour in the egg mixture and cook a thin omelette.
  5. In a bowl, combine uni sauce ingredients.
  6. Put the uni rice on a plate, put the omelet on top, and pour uni sauce over the top. Garnish with parsley before serving.
