Salmon Steak with Black Sesame


  • 1 strip salmon (200g)
  • Salt, as needed
  • Pepper, as needed
  • 1 egg white
  • Black sesame seeds, as needed
  • 1 tbsp salad oil
  • 5g butter
  • Yogurt Sauce:
  • 20g plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt, as needed
  • Pepper, as needed
  • Toppings:
  • Asparagus, as needed
  • Potatoes, as needed
  • Corn, as needed
  • Dill, as needed
  • Advance Preparation:
  • Combine all the ingredients for the yogurt sauce and mix well.


  1. Season the salmon with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Roll the salmon in egg white and then coat it evenly with black sesame seeds.
  3. Cover the salmon with saran wrap and refrigerate until the sesame seeds have settled on the salmon.
  4. Heat salad oil and butter in a frying pan until it is lightly colored. Place the salmon and cook until the surface is cooked through.
  5. Cut to your desired size and pour the yogurt sauce with dill on top. Serve with asparagus, potatoes and corn.
