S'more Rice Krispies Treats

Toasty, buttery, chocolatey ... need we say more?

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3 cups rice cereal
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips, plus extra
  • 1/2 a sleeve of graham crackers, plus extra
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows

Steps

  1. Start by crushing up your graham cookies to small penny-sized pieces. Step them aside. Grease a loaf tin and set aside. For the marshmallows, melt the butter and pour it into a shallow roasting dish. Layer the marshmallows over top.
  2. Heat your oven to broil and bake until the marshmallows are melted on the inside and golden or charred on the outside. If the marshmallows brown too quickly you may need to turn off the broiler and bake them at 350 F.
  3. Pour the melted marshmallow mixture over a large bowl containing the rice cereal and mix using a greased rubber spatula until combined.
  4. Add in the chocolate chips and graham cookie pieces and pour them into the prepared pan.
  5. Top with more graham pieces and chocolate chips as well as the mini marshmallows. Let set in pan at room temperature until completely cooled and firm.
  6. Then using a blow torch you can brown the mini marshmallows on top before slicing into squares and serving.
