- Hello, and welcome to our Halloween episode of Raw Vegan, Not Gross. I'm gonna show you how to make some corn chips and some guacamole to bring to your spooky party. Let's do it. So these corn chips are actually really easy to make. We're basically just going to dump all of our ingredients except for the flax seed, into the food processor. That means corn, bell peppers -- you can use any color you have -- onion, garlic, chili powder, cayenne, lime juice, which really takes it to the next level, olive oil, let's throw a little bit of salt in here. And now we're just going to blend. Okay, that looks pretty good. Now that we've got this mixed up, we are going to throw all of our ingredients, including the flax, into this bowl and mix it up. And then we're just going to spread it straight onto this non-stick sheet. So as soon as it's dry you take them out of the oven or dehydrator and just break them up into chips, and you're done. Let's go ahead and make our guacamole. We're gonna start out by scooping out the flesh of some avocados. Let me just grab a knife. What? - Laura Miller, your Halloween episode is lame. Time to spice things up. - What? - Much better! - Who are you? - I'm the Vegan Black Metal Chef. - Okay. So you still want to make the guacamole? - Yeah, let's go ahead and make some guacamole. - Okay cool, would you hand me some avocados, please? So, yeah... We're just going to open up some avocados. - And dig out their flesh! - That's right, that's what I'm gonna do. Do you wanna be the scooper? - Absolutely. - Good. Why don't you hand me the rest of those. Thanks. What's your recipe, bro? - I like to keep things really simple. A lot of people like to go crazy with their guacamole and it just ruins it in the end. I find that just a simple set of ingredients makes the best guacamole in existence. - [Laura] Simple is best. - Absolutely. - Where'd you get that knife? - It's made from the finest artisans in Hell. - Oh. They must be expensive. - So after we have the avocados, we're just gonna add in the rest of these ingredients. We're going to use a little bit of jalapeno, maybe about a quarter of one for each avocado that you use. You're gonna want a bunch of cilantro. Some fresh garlic. We're only going to use some of these red onions. And some lime juice, and you want about half a lime for every avocado. So after the lime juice, we're just going to smash this all together with a skull. - Oh! I just happened to have already made some corn chips, which I can grab out of the oven right now. - [Black Metal Vegan] Let's do it. - Okay. Alright, so these look done. - Almost. - [Laura] Okay. Awesome. Good, great, super. - [Black Metal Vegan] Go ahead and put 'em in here. - [Laura] Okay. So we've got our chips now. And let's put our guac in a bowl. So, now that that's done, we also have some pumpkins to break into. - Wow. This is actually going to be my recipe this time. So I'm in charge. I'm using coconut sugar, which before you say anything, it's not raw, so don't get crazy. I'm gonna scoop some of these into here. You can also put the ginger, a little bit of cinnamon right there, and a little salt. And that is it. I am gonna stir this because I'm afraid if you do it you'll make it explode. I'm just gonna stir it real quick and then we're just gonna spread it straight onto this Sil-Pad. At this point you could either put it in your oven for an hour at about 200 degrees, not technically raw. Or you can dehydrate it overnight. - I have a better idea. - Yeah? - Cool. Okay, these are nice and caramelized. They're kind of sweet and salty at the same time. Not your average pumpkin seeds. I think you're gonna really like them. - They look fantastic. - Thank you. Now all we have to do is make our Spooky Punch. - Let's make some punch of the lost souls! - It is going to be one part guava juice, one part bubbly water. How about you open up some of these grapefruits and juice them? - The bitter grapefruit blood tastes like the tears of a thousand villages. - Also very high in Vitamin C. So we also need to make some spooky ice cubes, which we are going to use black cherry juice for. I'm actually gonna have you do it. - So we're just gonna pour the blood of my enemies into these cute little stars? - Mmm hmm. Yup. Now, we'll just throw this in the freezer and let it set up. - We can just freeze them like this... - [Laura] I need to hang out with you more often. And the last thing we're gonna do is just slice up some bloody oranges and drop them in our punch to make them look extra pretty. So let's just ladle it, slash, pour it all out straight into here. Oh, that looks bloody, am I right? - Putrid. - Yeah, spooky. - Let us drink to this Halloween. - Spooky. - Spooky.
