Strawberry Panna Cotta

Try this twist on a traditional panna cotta to awaken your senses into a tropical paradise. Vanilla, strawberry and a hint of mint combine to create a flavour bomb which will explode on your tastebuds.

Ingredients

  • 500 milliliters cooking cream
  • 3 gelatin leaves (6gr)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 150 grams sugar

Steps

  1. Soften gelatin leaves in a bowl of water.
  2. Put a small saucepan on heat and add cooking cream.
  3. Add vanilla essence and 150 grams sugar.
  4. Stir using a wooden spoon and bring to a simmer (Don't boil).
  5. Squeeze excess water from the gelatin leaves and add them to the cream.
  6. Put the saucepan back on heat and mix to dissolve.
  7. Pour mixture into a glass, 3/4 to top and refrigerate for 8 hours.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams strawberries cut into 1/4
  • 70 grams sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water

Steps

  1. Put strawberries into a saucepan and add water and sugar.
  2. Bring to boil.
  3. Blend mixture using a hand mixer until it becomes a liquid.
  4. Strain syrup using a sieve and leave to cool in the fridge.
  5. Pour desired amount over the top of the panna cotta (once set).
  6. Add a mint leaf.
