Tarte Flambée

No one but you needs to know this classy AF French version of pizza is actually super simple to make.


  • Store-bought pizza dough
  • 1 cup crème fraîche or sour cream
  • Salt and ground nutmeg, to taste
  • 1 cup bacon, cut into matchsticks
  • 1 white onion, thinly sliced


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Roll out pizza dough as thin as possible. Place on a parchment-lined baking tray.
  3. Combine crème fraîche with salt and nutmeg to taste. Spread over base of pizza dough. Top with an even scattering of onions and bacon.
  4. Place in oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until crust is crisp, crème fraîche has slightly browned, and onions and bacon have caramelized.
  5. Allow to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
