Thai Omelet Rice

Tomato fried rice packaged in a fluffy omelet is the tastiest gift of all.


  • Omellete:
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Fried rice:
  • 120 grams cooked rice
  • 50 grams ground pork
  • 1/6 onion
  • 1/2 small tomato
  • 2 green beans
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Seasonings:
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • Garnish:
  • Chili sauce
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Green onions


  1. Dice onions, tomatoes and green beans into 5mm cubes.
  2. Heat some vegetable oil in a frying pan. Saute garlic and onions until translucent. Then add in ground pork, tomatoes and green beans and cook until done.
  3. Add in cooked rice, ketchup, fish sauce, oyster sauce and sugar and stir-fry for one minute. Turn off heat and set aside.
  4. In a bowl, combine eggs and water. Give it a quick whisk to combine.
  5. In a large frying pan, add some vegetable oil and heat. Pour in eggs and swirl the pan to make a thin omelette.
  6. Once eggs are cooked, turn off the heat and transfer the fried rice onto the eggs. Wrap the eggs around the rice and invert onto a plate.
  7. Serve with lettuce leaves, green onions and chili sauce.
