Thanksgiving Leftovers Monte Cristo

Think of this as an eggy grilled cheese sandwich stuffed with yummy Thanksgiving leftovers.


  • Sliced bread
  • Leftover stuffing
  • Leftover turkey
  • Swiss cheese, sliced
  • Leftover cranberry sauce
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Butter for the pan
  • For the spread:
  • Honey
  • Grainy mustard
  • Apple cider vinegar


  1. In a shallow dish, combine eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine honey, mustard, and apple cider vinegar.
  3. Shape stuffing into a square-like piece to fit the size of bread.
  4. Assemble: spread honey mustard on two slices of bread. Top one slice with cheese, followed by turkey, stuffing, more cheese, more turkey. Close with the other slice.
  5. Heat butter in a pan on medium heat. Dip sandwich in the egg mixture, and be sure to soak both sides well.
  6. Place in pan and cook on both sides, until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Serve with cranberry sauce.
