Tim Tam Slam Shake

When chocolate cookies and a milkshake are combined, you know it's gonna be good.

Ingredients

  • 500 milliliters milk (any type will do)
  • 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Thickened cream (for whipping)
  • Chocolate sauce
  • Tim tam finger
  • 8 Tim tams (plus 3 more to crush)

Steps

  1. Add milk and 8 tim-tams to a large jug or bowl. Set aside to allow biscuits to soak.
  2. You may want to chop the biscuits in half to allow them to soak the milk in better.
  3. Add thickened cream to a large metal mixing bowl.
  4. Whip on high speed using a hand mixer until cream thickens to stiff peaks that can hold their shape. Cover with plastic wrap and set aside in the fridge.
  5. Place extra tim-tams into a large zip lock bag and use a rolling pin to crush them.
  6. Alternatively, you can crush them by placing them in a bowl and break them apart using a fork.
  7. Squeeze chocolate sauce around the inside of you serving jar. Set aside.
  8. Add milk (extra tim tams if you like), ice cream and vanilla extract to a food blender and blend until everything is well combined. Pour into your serving jar.
  9. Fit the end of your piping bag with a 1M tip and fill with whipped cream.
  10. Pipe on top of your milkshake. It may sink a little.
  11. One way to prevent this is to pipe starting in the center and make your way around the outside of the jar so that the cream sticks to the glass and then continue piping to create a cone effect.
  12. Sprinkle with crushed tim tams, snap a small piece of each end of one of your tim tam fingers off and place into the milkshake. This is your straw.
