Cookie Butter Morning Rolls


  • For the buns:
  • 1 package TJ’s Crescent Rolls
  • 1/2 cup Trader Joe’s Cookie Butter
  • 3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • For the glaze:
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Make the rolls: Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Open Trader Joe’s Crescent Rolls and unroll dough. Separate into 12 individual triangles, and spread about 1 tablespoon of cookie butter on each triangle. Sprinkle each dough segment with about 1 teaspoon of brown sugar. Roll each triangle onto itself starting from the wide end towards the tip. Curve each roll slightly to form the crescent shape, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 12 minutes.
  3. Make the glaze: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, butter and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. Assemble the rolls: Once the rolls have cooled completely, remove from baking sheet and drizzle with icing. Allow to sit for 1 minute for the glaze to settle. Enjoy!
